Red Mountain Resort and Rossland are not really a shopper-holic’s paradise, but there are enough shops to cover the basics as well as a few interesting speciality stores. Red Mountain only has one small shop. The main bulk of shops are in the town of Rossland where there are ski and snowboard shops, a couple of boutiques, gift shops, a pharmacy, and a supermarket.

Rossland Ski Shops, Snowboard Stores

Piste Off Supply Company is located at Red Mountain Ski Resort, just outside the day lodge. It’s not a large shop and sells only a limited range of ski and snowboard equipment and apparel. The Red ski shops sells lots of Red Resort logo wear including jackets, polar fleeces, vests, ski tops, thermals, hoodies, and caps. Goggles and other ski and snowboard accessories are also sold here.

In Rossland, the RossVegas Boardshop (2105 Columbia Ave) is absolutely jam packed with a large range of boards, boots and bindings, and really colourful snow and fashion apparel.

Across the road is Powderhounds Clothing & Souvenirs (2040 Columbia Avenue) – not related to us! This is an old drab looking shop and it looks like it’s closed from the outside, but it covers a large range of outdoor activities with a small range of gear and accessories for each discipline including backcountry gear.

The pick of the Rossland ski shops is the Butch Boutry Ski Shop (2080 Washington Street) that is also jam packed with gear. They very proudly have a huge range of skis, boots, helmets and other accessories. The shop has lots of outerwear and more puffer jackets than you could poke a stick at.

Souvenir Shopping

There is no shortage of Red Mountain branded merchandise. The ski resort shop on-mountain has the biggest range, and Powderhounds and Butch Boutry also have some logo clothing such as polar fleece vests and hoodies.

General Shopping Rossland

Out of the Cellar is a really interesting shop, but possibly only for the female shopper. They sell general gifts, jewellery, boutique-type clothing, shoes, handbags, and home-wares. They have pretty much put an assortment of things that chicks might dig into one shop.

The nearby Legacy Gift Room is also very girly, selling lots of candles, jewellery and general gifts.

A delight for children is the Jelly Bean toy store, also in Columbia Avenue.

Grocery Shopping

Ferraro Foods in the main street (Columbia Avenue) is a large supermarket that sells lots of fresh produce. There is also a liquor store in the main street.
