Lake Tekapo Accommodation
Unlike the glitzy
Queenstown and Wanaka, Tekapo only has a very small range of upmarket properties. Much of the Lake Tekapo accommodation is more basic and very well suited to those looking for an economical holiday.

Lake Tekapo Hotels
There are only a few Lake Tekapo hotels/motels.
The
Peppers Bluewater Resort is a standout for providing upmarket Lake Tekapo accommodation. This modern resort is centrally located in Tekapo and has hotel rooms, and one, two and three bedroom villas/apartments that have impressive lake or mountain views. The apartments are self-contained so you can self-cater, or the resort has a lovely restaurant.
The Godley Hotel is well located in the main strip of the village/town. The property has the facilities of a hotel, although the rooms are more geared towards the style of a motel. The hotel rooms come in various configurations including family rooms and studio units, and some have lake views.

YHA Lake Tekapo, which is located on the edge of the lake.

Lake Edge Lodge is also in very close proximity to the lake. The modern and clean hostel has a variety of room sizes including twins, doubles and 4 and 6 bed dorms.
Lake Tekapo Bed and Breakfasts
