The camp is focused on building confidence in the skin track and new skill development in the mountains in real-time. Off the mountain, relax in the hotel's natural hot springs and discover the local culture.

What You Will Learn

Master different ways to turn in the skin track based on snow conditions and slope angle
- How to properly set a skin track, AVA turns, how to prepare the corners, kick turns in steep terrain, techniques for better grip when on a side hill, how to fix a trashed skin track, splitboard crampon use etc.
- Pro energy saving techniques while climbing so you can truly enjoy the downhill
- Proper skin care in the field including how to put on, remove, and store your skins depending on weather and snow conditions
- Downhill splitboard skiing skills - learning how to split ski like an expert
- Poles are one of the most important pieces of your gear and often under used or not used properly
- Avalanche rescue training
- Reading the terrain and advanced freeriding skills for splitboarders
Group
Solos, pairs or small groups are welcome to join this group tour, which has a maximum of 8 guests. Solo travelers will be paired with another guest of same gender in a twin room, or you can request a single room upgrade.
Ability Level
The Chile Splitboarding Camp is designed for the strong intermediate to advanced level splitboarder looking to spend time improving their skill set with a certified pro while also enjoying some great freeriding and the local Chilean culture. Riders should have experience in both uphill and downhill on variable snow conditions from powder, corn, firm snow and everything in-between.
Whilst the lifts will be used to gain some vertical, you'll also be earning your turns, so you will want to be fit.
