Flexibility is the key and in this sample itinerary, you can find out what can be achieved. This itinerary will be adjusted according to weather conditions and requirements of the guests.
DAY 1 - Flight & Arrival
Flight to Tromsø via Oslo. Check into the city hotel.
DAY 2 - Pick-up in Tromsø & first Ski Tour
Pick-up from the hotel is followed by the group's first ski/splitboard tour in the Lyngen Alps on the way to the accommodation - the log cabin in Målselv. There are numerous options for the first ski tour, and decisions will be based on the avalanche forecast, snow conditions, and wind direction.
DAY 3 - Senja
Senja, nestled between Lofoten and Tromsø, is a true gem of Norway, offering dramatic coastlines, steep peaks, and picturesque fishing villages. Senja, often called ‘Miniature Norway,’ showcases a variety of landscapes and captures the essence of Norway all in a single island. A visit will be planned around the best weather window, aiming for a summit-to-sea descent with breathtaking views of Senja’s coastline. Most of the peaks tackled are around 900m high and based on the group’s preferences, it is possible to either add more peaks or ski multiple laps on a given peak.
DAY 4 - Tamokdalen
Tamokdalen, or Tamok Valley, is a beautiful 30km stretch in Troms, Norway. The valley floor sits at 200m above sea level, with peaks reaching up to 1,600m. Both sides of the road offer fantastic ski-touring options, giving the group flexibility to choose a route based on avalanche risk, snow, and wind conditions. The higher mountains and colder temperatures, combined with the valley’s more continental climate, often mean superb snow quality for powder turns.
DAY 5 - Ski in the Backyard at Målselv & Dog-sledding
The peaks near the cabin rise up to 1,500m, and with mountains all around, it’s entirely up to the group which ski tour is chosen. Based on a husky farm, if the conditions allow and the dogs are up for it, it is possible to access the ski tour by dog sled.
(Dog sledding is an optional activity, subject to availability, and the cost will be arranged once in Norway.)
DAY 6 – Senja or Tamokdalen
Return to either Senja or Tamokdalen, depending on what was enjoyed most and where the snow conditions were best.
DAY 7 - Lyngen or Kågen Island
On the way back to Tromsø, the group will either tackle some of the Lyngen peaks or arrange a speedboat to Kågen Island. There, it is possible to ski different aspects on secluded peaks, while surrounded by the ocean. (Kågen is an optional activity, subject to availability, and the cost will be arranged once we’re in Norway).
Be dropped off at the hotel in Tromsø for a final night out on the town with your new group of friends!
DAY 8 - Departure
Say goodbye to Arctic Norway. Flight back home from Tromsø.
