Valle Nevado has various small shops, many of which are located within a mini-mall between Hotel Del Puerto Sol and Hotel Valle Nevado. As the Valle Nevado shops are small and they only have a limited range of goods, it can be hard to find what you’re looking for. And don’t expect any bargains at Valle Nevado. Most clothing and equipment is much more expensive than what you’d find in North America.

Valle Nevado Ski Shops

Valle Nevado has a handful of mountain-wear and ski/board shops. The pick of the bunch is the very cool Burton shop that sells fabulous outerwear. The very small Billabong shop also has fantastically colourful ski and snowboard clothing.

The Valle Nevado signature store on the ground floor of the Hotel Puerto Del Sol sells some quality outerwear from Spyder and Descent, some great Poc gear, and mid layers and ski and snowboard accessories. They also sell a few pairs of ski poles but that’s about it for hardwear at the Valle Nevado ski shops. If you are looking for skis, boots or a snowboard, you’ll have more opportunities at one of the Santiago ski shops.

Souvenir Shopping

The Valle Nevado shop is the place to get souvenirs to remind you of your stay. They sell logo clothing such as shell jackets and t-shirts (some with fantastic bling on them) although even a simple t-shirt seems to be pretty expensive. Other souvenirs include coffee thermoses, mugs, general knick-knacks, and fridge magnets.

Grocery Shopping

Valle News is a tiny stall selling magazines, papers, snacks and a few general sundries. Otherwise there is a very mini market down at the end of the village near the apartments, selling simple toiletries and basic food groceries, but no fresh produce or alcohol.

If you need to make substantial grocery purchases, you’ll need to do this in Santiago before arriving at Valle Nevado.
