Keystone Lodging

Keystone lodging includes lots of condos, several hotels, and an abundance of vacation rentals.

Keystone’s base area is divided into three broad ‘villages’. The main center of Keystone lodging is River Run Village. The other village areas are Mountain House and Lakeside. To further complicate matters there is also West Keystone, North Keystone and East Keystone; large suburbs of Keystone that have an abundance of privately owned condos and houses.

River Run and Mountain House are the only villages close to the lifts of the Keystone Ski Resort, whilst the others require a shuttle bus to get to the slopes. Keystone has surprisingly little ski-in ski-out lodging, in part because there’s a river between the ski area and the villages.

River Run Village Keystone Hotels and Accommodations

River Run Village is the heart and soul of Keystone and has the majority of the shops, restaurants and Keystone Resort accommodations. It is the most convenient location for accessing the major lifts to the top of Dercum Mountain.

River Run also has the children’s day care center and ski school meeting point for kids and adults’ intermediate and advanced lessons. River Run Condominiums are well located and priced, fully self contained studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom condos.

Mountain House Lodging

Mountain House is the original base area of Keystone ski resort. This area doesn’t have as many restaurants or shops as River Run, but services such as kids’ ski school and ski rentals are easily accessed from this area. Mountain House has a novice slope located at the base and has a couple of lifts to whisk riders up the mountain.

Keystone Lakeside Village

The Lakeside Village features the Keystone Conference and Meeting Center. In addition to the large lake that serves as a center-piece for the village, there are shops and restaurants in this area. The shuttle bus ride to the lifts takes about 5 minutes.

Other Keystone Condos and Hotels

Ski Tip Lodge is located in East Keystone, 5 minutes from the lifts, a B&B set in an old stage coach stop with a great reputation for fine dining. Cheaper rooms are available with shared bathrooms.

Some cheaper independent lodging options are on Hwy 6 and include the well priced 3 Peaks Lodge.

Frisco, Dillon and Silverthorne Accommodations

Other options for Keystone lodging are in the nearby towns of Frisco (9 miles), Dillon (5 miles) or Silverthorne (5 miles). The hotels and motels in these towns are much more suited to the budget conscious holiday maker plus they have a great variety of restaurants, bars, shopping and other services.
