There are countless options for Steamboat lodging for all budgets and requirements. The first decision to make is regarding the location of your accommodation and whether you want to stay slopeside, a little off the hill, or in downtown Steamboat Springs.
Steamboat Lodging Listings
Mountain Village Steamboat Lodging
There are a cluster of accommodations around the base area of the Steamboat ski resort, as well as dozens of lodgings along the northern and southern flanks of the ski resort. Much of the lodging in this area is ski-in ski-out, or close to it, enabling the ultimate convenience for access to the slopes, ski school and child care. Much of the Steamboat Resort lodging consists of hotels and condominiums, many of which attract a premium price tag. There are also various old style lodges and condos that provide moderately priced accommodations.
The
Sheraton Steamboat Resort Villas property has an ideal ski-in ski-out location. Deluxe accommodations include guest rooms, studios with kitchenette, and 1, 2 and 3 bedroom villas and condos with full kitchens and living rooms.

Other Steamboat Lodging On-Mountain
There is a range of lodging that is located just a little down the hill from the ski resort. These accommodations typically have shuttle services to enable easy transport to the slopes or downtown Steamboat Springs.
The Porches is a gorgeous development located just a couple of minutes drive down the hill from the ski resort. These spacious vacation homes are beautifully designed and furnished, and have 4 to 5 bedrooms. The complex has a base facility that houses a swimming pool, gymnasium, hot tub, and concierge service. The Porches are luxurious accommodations, yet they provide surprisingly great value for money for a large group or family. The location isn’t an issue because they have a shuttle service to the ski resort or anywhere around Steamboat Springs. See our
review of The Porches for more information.

Steamboat Springs Lodging - Town
There are lots of lodging options in downtown Steamboat Springs or on the outskirts of town in the form of hotels, motels, and lodges. It’s generally cheaper to stay downtown in lieu of direct access to the slopes, but on the plus side, the town has many more restaurants and drinking holes than the mountain village. When staying in town you can also really capitalize on the genuine culture of a cowboy town. It’s possible to get between town (or the lodging) and the ski resort via shuttles.
