Hotels Jackson Wyoming
The town of Jackson Wyoming is 15 minutes away from Jackson Hole Ski Resort. There are lots of upscale Jackson hotels, affordable Jackson motels and plenty of lodging options in between. The bonus of Jackson lodging is that it’s cheaper than Teton Village, and the nightlife, shopping and restaurants are superior. Jackson is well connected to the ski resort by the START bus system.
Downtown Jackson has the classic Wild West architecture including western saloons, wooden sidewalks, and a few hitching posts. The town has a great upscale cowboy atmosphere.
The Snow King Ski Area is right on the edge of Jackson (part of the town really) and it has its own hotel and condos, and is a good place for families in particular to stay.
Jackson Hole Accommodations
There are a plethora of Jackson Hole accommodations including hotels, motels, lodges, vacation rentals, cabins, condos and a couple of hostels. There’s something to suit all budgets. The biggest decision will be whether to stay in Teton Village at the base of
Jackson Hole Ski Resort, or in a Jackson hotel in town, at Snow King ski resort, or lodging a little out of town.
Teton Village Lodging
You can stay at the base of Jackson Hole Resort in Teton Village lodging. Teton Village is compact and Jackson Hole accommodations include several luxury hotels that are pretty much ski-in ski-out and various Jackson Hole condos. As to be expected, you’ll pay a premium for Teton Village hotel accommodation due to its proximity to the slopes and a couple of the lodges fit into the “splurge” category. Teton Village has a decent range of dining options, whilst the nightlife and shopping are somewhat limited.
Wilson Accommodations
The town of Wilson Wyoming is 8.5 miles from Jackson Hole. The town itself is very small and it has only a handful of restaurants and bars. Most of the Wilson accommodations are actually situated in the little hamlet of Moose Wilson Road (the road to the ski resort), with a concentration of condos and townhouses about 5 miles south of Teton Village and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
