Driving to Revelstoke Canada

The drive to Revelstoke BC from the east (from Calgary or Kicking Horse near Golden) comes via the spectacular Rogers Pass. This incredibly avalanche prone road passes in and out of tunnels and is subject to closure, so you may need to build some flexibility into your itinerary. This stretch of road is notoriously dangerous, and the many trucks on the road make it feel more intimidating. As you drive towards Revelstoke, don’t forget to turn your watch back one hour.

The drive in from the west (if coming from Kelowna or Silver Star) is pretty easy through the scenic Okanagan Valley. This road can also sometimes close, so it’s advisable to check road conditions at Drive BC.

The drive from the south (from Nelson or for those cat skiing at Great Northern Snowcat Skiing or cat skiing near Meadow Creek) is also very picturesque and it involves an Upper Arrow Lakes ferry trip.

To get to Revelstoke Mountain Resort from Revelstoke town, head southeast on 4th street and cross the railway tracks. Further along 4th street cross the bridge where 4th street becomes Airport Way. Turn left onto Nichol Rd and then turn right onto Camozzi Rd, which leads to the base of the ski resort. Alternatively just plug the address (2950 Camozzi Rd Revelstoke) into the GPS!

For overnight guests there’s underground parking at Sutton Place Hotel. For day trippers there’s lots of free outdoor parking that’s only a short walk to the gondola.
