Shopping in South Lake Tahoe

SEABA Heliski Weeks, Haines Alaska
If you are looking for ski or snowboard apparel whilst in Heavenly Lake Tahoe you will find some of the big-brand stores like North Face, Patagonia and Oakley, however you won't find the glitzy shops you will find in Aspen, Vail and Park City.

Heavenly Ski Shops

Whilst there are several ski & snowboard rental shops in South Lake Tahoe there is a bit of a deficit when it comes to retail shops selling ski & snowboard hardware apart from some of the rental shops selling demo skis and boards and a couple of custom boot fitters. It seems that Tahoe Powder House (with 10 locations) has this market cornered in South Lake Tahoe.

Shopping Centers

Rather than all shops being in one area, there are several satellite shopping centers around the South Lake Tahoe area.

The most prominent shopping area is The Shops at Heavenly which are located in the Heavenly Village at the base of the gondola offering a variety of shops and dining / entertainment options. The Village Center, located across the street from the Marriott/Heavenly Village at Stateline you will find array of gifts, collectibles, fine art, chic apparel, beauty essentials and dining options.

The Crossing at Tahoe Valley is located the intersection of Highways 50 and 89, offering an array of shopping, wellness and dining options for locals and visitors alike. The Ski Run Center and the Ski Run Marina are located on Ski Run Blvd. The Marina has great shopping & dining right on the lake-front whilst the Ski Run Center is where you will find Tahoe Powder House.
