  • Powder Instruction Multi-Day Tours: these are ideal for riders who can charge the piste but struggle or lack confidence in powder. The coaches provide some tips to progress away from the groomers and into the deep fresh snow.
  • Resort Powder Multi-Day Tours: if you already know how to ride powder, the guides show you all the best inbounds and slackcountry powder. Mostly lift accessed with the occasional hard traverse or quick boot pack gets you to primo powder, and there may be a few road drops with van pick-up.
  • Lift Accessed Backcountry Tours: you want the powder goods but only want to put some work into getting it. You'll use the lifts and sometimes use touring gear to get further afield.
  • Backcountry Touring Tours: occasionally the lifts might be used but ski touring or splitboarding to get away from the resorts is key to sublime powder and terrain.
  • Powder Discovery: these are in resort / in bounds powder exploration in off piste areas. No backcountry lines or equipment required
  • Lessons: focus on tuition and those ready to commence powder riding will be shown around off-piste powder stashes

Whilst hospitality and service levels often surpass Western standards, rooms generally have less furniture & hanging/storage space. Ensuites are generally smaller and some are of a modular design. Some Japanese properties also allow smoking in common areas & some guest rooms. Traditional Hotels or Ryokans often have rooms with Tatami Matt flooring and futon beds. Some rooms will not have ensuites and instead will have shared bathing in segregated bath houses or onsens. We will inform you of these cultural differences and you may be pleasantly surprised by how easily you can adjust to the Japanese way of life. If not please request a western style accommodation.

WAIVER

If you are participating in a Whiteroom Tour or are being guided by Whiteroom you will be required to read and sign our wavier before participation. Failure to do so will result in you not being able to accompany our guides on any activity.

Into the White Room at Furano

11/04/2024
We’ve been to Furano various times and have explored many parts of the mountain and the backcountry, but we tend to keep going back to our fave zones. Having a guide just took the fun factor up multiple notches. There had been no fresh snow overnight, but the upper lifts had been closed the previous day, so there was plenty of fresh powder on offer. We started with a couple of traditional sidecountry lines and then staying ahead of the pack, the guide took us to a few lines that didn’t feel familiar. The terrain was fantastic and the snow was superb – it was Hokkaido skiing at its finest. Our guide was also rather entertaining! The experience reinforced that having a guide at Furano can be incredibly beneficial.

Whiteroom have been guiding in the area for a long time and it was easy to see why they have an excellent reputation and are booked out well in advance.

Japan 'glades'
This tour is not for the faint of heart. Be ready to ski hard. You will be skiing in the forest if you want Japow.

There is lots of powder out there: sometimes it is a little tracked, sometimes fresh, and sometimes very tracked. If you are a very, very competent tree skier on moderate to steep terrain this is the deal. The guides are great and will work with you to give you what you want, but very little to no on piste-type powder runs. It is trees, trees trees.

You will visit a new resort every day and the guides take you to super cool restaurants almost every evening. Expect to spend about an hour in the van each morning and evening.

Worth His Weight in Gold

Ross showing us the best powder stashes
Our guide knew that there'd be little bamboo to contend with
Knew the spots to head to
Ross showing us a nice zone
Nice pick for a run
Having a great guide is usually highly beneficial to finding the great stashes, but considering our timing, a guide was critical to us having an absolutely epic time in the powder. It was early season (between Xmas & New Years) in a really lean season, and the off-piste at most of the Central Hokkaido ski areas was pretty rank due to an abundance of leg catching bamboo. However our WRTs guide knew that Asahidake would be the best spot for powder hunting that day due to his knowledge of the weather patterns, its high elevation, and subsequent lack of bamboo.

Our guide Ross was also worth his weight in gold because Asahidake is an amazing powder gem, but only if you know it intimately. We’ve been to Asahidake multiple times, but still don’t know all the amazing zones or the exact best spot to push out. Thanks to Ross, we skied divine deep powder on some nice steep pitches. That night back in Furano, others were incredibly envious because they’d spent the day getting bamboozled elsewhere.

Thanks again WhiteRoom for a fantastic day of powder skiing and plenty of fun banter.

Great Powder Skiing

All aspects of the trip were great, and even the weather cooperated. Great places to stay, excellent on and off piste terrain, wide variety of mountains, and a guide that could not be have been better. Would recommend for those that love glades and want to lay down fresh tracks in deep powder. Some experience in powder is helpful, and strong on piste is required IMO. Would do this trip again without hesitation if money grew on trees.

Mixed success

10/02/2020
It was a tough year, due to low snow pack. Even though, it was expertly led on the slopes. We visited 7 destinations in 10 ski-days. All events transpired smoothly. The trees were tight and there was excessive brush that made linked turns rare. The best runs required hiking in varied lengths. We got 2 good powder days that made the trip.

On the not-so-hot list, the hotels varied widely from top shelf to unacceptable (shared room, bath down the hall, pounding music until midnight). Guide knowledge of local culture and history was zero.

I recommend this tour to the young at heart who don’t care about anything but skiing/riding. Bring your earplugs.

I think the thing that stood out to me most was the incredible team that Whiteroom have.
Nate ( our guide) was fantastic, he always went out of his way to ensure we were getting the most out of the tour. His willingness to help out by dropping us off places, recommendations and follow up were brilliant. The pics and videos he took will be treasured. He always followed up on requests, kept us up to date, read the group well and went the extra mile. Fantastic instruction and guiding.

When we first arrived Yu (the Full note accomodation manager) met us with a huge smile, friendly nothing is a problem attitude and was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our whole stay. All the staff were great they always asked about our day, made us feel at home and provided great service.

Even when I went down to the office to sort out a bus transfer they phoned around for me, recommended a cheaper ski pass rate than we were going to get and sorted everything out effortlessly. I commented to a friend how nice it was that everyone at full note called us by our names, this again an example of what stood out and a reflection of Whiteroom service and brand. An impressive business and service example for others to follow. Would recommend to anyone.

Two Guided days in Furano area

27/01/2020
We had a great experience with Ian at Whiteroom Tours. He took us to two different zones in the same area, per our request that we follow the best snow. They were big days - we had requested a challenge and he definitely delivered! We learned a lot about the region, as well as the snowpack, and covered a ton of ground. Ian was very knowledgable and a great companion. He gave us a lot of information that allowed us to successfully explore on our own for the rest of our trip.

Yuko, Whiteroom Tours Guest Services Supervisor & Travel Consultant, was incredibly helpful with our booking, as well as other aspects of our trip. She was extremely communicative and helped us book other accommodations that required Japanese.

We would love to book through Whiteroom again on our next trip, to learn about other areas, and to have the assistance that they provided with so many aspects of our trip.

Unfortunately this season in Niseko the famed powder was nowhere to be seen in late February. The Full Note Inn was a lovely place to stay and our hosts were fantastic. The two ski guides were capable and great company. They did the best they could under the circumstances of poor snow conditions, however I personally didn't gain anything in relation to powder skiing from this trip.

Endless Powder Days

Alex
25/02/2019
Hokkaido, with the exception of parts of the Niseko area, is like skiing Vermont if Vermont were to have the best snow in the world. Modest-sized mountains at low elevation with limited steepness. Lots of tree runs. Beautiful powder that falls endlessly, day in and day out. We didn't have any particular day where it bombed snow, but that was probably for the best as it's not much fun to ski waist-deep powder on mountains that aren't that steep. Rather, we had consistent, light, fluffy snowfall throughout the trip.

Guides were solid. Group was a mix of skiers and boarders, younger and older. We divided up between the two guides accordingly. Eleven ski days with one break day. I'd say about half the skiing with on-piste and the other half was side-country. One day, one of the guides took some of us out touring, which was a first for me and was a lot of fun. Another day we did a bunch of runs with the vans picking us up down along the resort access road.

I personally liked all the places we'd stay, but it was a mix in terms of type. Furano we stayed at a classic roadside ski lodge type place. Nothing fancy, but really enjoyed it, especially their breakfasts. Niseko we stayed in what was basically a skiers hostel. It had a good energy, though aspects of it were inconvenient, e.g. the shared showers being in the basement of the building. Otaru we stayed in a higher-end hotel right on the water. (I wish I had stuck around an extra day to explore Otaru.) I was traveling solo and opted to pay extra to get my own room for Furano and Otaru, the other option being to share a room with someone else on the trip.

Besides the skiing, stopping at a beautiful onsen and then checking out the Sapporo Snow Festival during our break day were highlights.

Really nice group of folks from all around the world, many who I hope to keep in touch with and perhaps even ski with again in the future.

A trip to remember

Had an awesome time as a solo traveler. They interview you a little before you book the trip, to insure everyone is indeed at an advanced/expert level which worked well. We had college aged to mid 60’s but everyone was a very good skier/boarder. Everyone got along great and felt much more like skiing with a group of friends than skiing with strangers. We went to 6 different mountains depending on wind conditions, snowfall, and crowds. Found fresh snow with no/limited tracks everyday of the trip. The guides found the snow, gave us clear instructions on the next route we would take, and did all of the planning for us. If I skied one mountain there by myself for a week, I wouldn’t have found 80% of where they took us.
The lodging is a basic ski lodge setup, but has an onsen, ski drying room, and an alright breakfast.

It was our first time to Hokkaido and we loved the laid back atmosphere of Furano. Our guides, Blackie and Natalie were top notch and lots of fun. After a day with Blackie at Furano we skied there two more days and felt we knew the mountain, the best routes and what to look for for our safety. Natalie took us (sorry I don’t remember name) to another resort about an hour away on the coldest day in recorded history -31 F windchill and then to an Onsen to warm up. The best day was the last with the sun out at Sahoro resort doing van laps in the deep untouched powder. All in all a wonderful experience

Went on this tour in Feb '18. One of the best experience of my life. Guiding was a hard 10/10, and Hokkaido is an amazing place to see. The itinerary allows you to see a good bit of the island.

Accommodations in Niseko & Furano are more or less hostel style, so if you want more hotel style, request the upgrade.

Untracked Powder All Day

21/03/2018
We lost our guide for a little while!
GB showing us some untracked powder
Ross in the office
Awesome sneaky trees in the afternoon when the sun came out
More beautiful tree skiing
All the stars aligned for us to have the most epic day at Sahoro Resort with WhiteRoom, whereby we skied fresh powder all day long and didn't have to pull the skins out once or walk more than about 50 metres!

Firstly, Puki the Yuki goddess was blessing Sahoro with some powdery goodness so the snow was as fresh as it gets. Secondly, nearly all the guests staying at Club Med and the Sahoro Resort Hotel stayed on-piste, just like we'd asked them to, so the powder in the trees was all ours for the taking! And of course, the tree skiing in the off-piste and side-country zones at Sahoro is a lot of fun.

And last but not least, we had Ross as a guide who took us to so many fabulous stashes. He's an old hand at guiding in Hokkaido and managing snow safety, and it showed in his knowledge of the ski area and ability to sniff out the powder along with his approach to safety. Ross is also a very affable guy; the sort of guy you could banter with for hours and hours, which just added to the experience of the great day.

We also did a few runs with another very competent guide GB (G-Banger) and his group who were on a Central Hokkaido Explorer multi-resort tour.

Thanks WhiteRoom for a fantastic day of powder skiing.

From start to finish it was fantastic. Rachael was a terrific guide- unparalleled experience, competency, service and such easy company. It was also so great to learn so much about Japan from her and get to enjoy authentic experiences like ski touring on Mt Shiribetsu and going to a local onsen. We couldn’t have enjoyed our week more.
We hope to come back again next year and would recommend White Room Tours to all our friends.

Pick up and everthing worked quite great. Full Note accomodation and beds have been a bit rough and noisy, especially considering the price of the tour. The organisation and pickup in the morning worked perfect and Lexi always had some good areas proposed. She showed us all the sweet sports of the specific areas and was knowledgeable regarding safety etc. However, I would have exptected more real backcountry Snowboarding, including some Hiking etc. - Basically she showed us where to go and that was it. Next time I will come on my own and ride the same spots without a guide, as they all seemed to be easyly accessible. I even opted out of the guiding for 1 or 2 days, just to have a good fast day of riding powder, without waiting for slow group members.
All in all it was a great experience, but for my skill level a little bit too low (more backcountry) and therefore too expensive. But it was worth the money, just to have some riding companions, as I would have been alone otherwise. :) Powder was awesome and got better every single day :)))

Overall the trip was very enjoyable. This was my first trip to Japan, and using Whiteroom tours.Lodging at Full Note Pension was not 5 star, but I knew that going in, it was comfortable and clean, the management was helpful and very friendly, food was fantastic. The included trips to various restaurants, and Onsens with our guide were quite enjoyable.

This tour was undersold, so the group ended up being two snowboarders and one skier in my group. Normally it should have been 6 boarders in my group. Because of this we had a snowboard guide for three days, and a ski guide for two days. I had no problem with this arrangement as the guides were very familiar with all the resorts we visited. The issue I had was that we receive absolutely no instruction, no tips on improving powder technique. The tour clearly states that the focus was on improving powder riding.

The tour was still very enjoyable. I would recommend White Room Tours, and absolutely recommend Japan for a ski or snowboard tour. Excellent terrain and so much snow, it was amazing.

The Niseko snowboard progression tour exceeded my expectations. Will make for great memories that will last a lifetime (or until next year, as I will be back :). Although short runs, the snow was out of this world. *Note that the snowboarding is mostly in trees (what Japan is all about!) therefore snowboarders and skiers that don’t like tree skiing may not enjoy this tour.

The Full Note Pension accommodations allowed for mingling if the group and chilling out/chatting over a drink. As a solo traveller it made it easy to hang out with fellow travellers. I enjoyed the welcome and farewell dinners, as well as the other activities (a few organized suppers, the onsen, the Nikka brewery...). I found there was just the right balance of free time and organized activities.

Our guide Mike was very good. Professional but chill at the same time. He knew his terrain. He explained he terrain very well so that one knew where to go and where to end up without having to follow his exact tracks or worrying about ending up having to walk out, or away from the group. He was also very fun to chat with.

We didn’t do the video analysis due to the snow being too good to take the time to do so.

I loved Whiteroom Tours. They are clearly a safe guiding company, looking at avalanche dangers and guiding us to untouched stashes of powder all over the resorts. The fact that we were able to visit 6 different resorts in 8 days was such a treat. The guides were fun and were so kind in spending time with us some evenings, or helping recommend good places to eat or drink when we were on our own. They did a fantastic job of making sure everyone was happy and satisfied with the ski ability of the group. I would definitely recommend Whiteroom Tours to anyone! I'm hoping to go again with them myself!

My first time skiing Japan. Enjoyed Furano and other resorts including Asahidake, but the experience was made much better by guides who know where to find powder. We had a few days without fresh snow and the guides led us to some beautiful untracked spots. Fun group of people to ski and socialize with.

It was all in all a great experience. The accommodation was good for what it was, but for the price of the tour I was not expecting to share bathrooms, and to have to walk down 2 flights of stairs to the communal showers! To be honest that may have been a deal breaker if I had known about it in advance. Apart from that I couldn't fault the whole experience and organisation.

Keith our guide was fantastic, he was very familiar with all the resorts that we went to and the guides selected well by following the snow conditions. This enabled us to ski runs that had good snow and runs we would not have skied off piste without a guide.

My only criticisms were the accommodation at Pension Full Note was very basic but was in a very convenient position in town. Secondly that we had skiers and boarders mixed in our group, luckily it was a small group but it would have been more enjoyable with all skiers.

The accommodation in Otaru was very good. A great trip if you are skiing on your own.

We had a sidecountry day at Furano followed by a daytrip to Asahidake with Whiteroom Tours lead by Sam. The tour was very professionally managed and every effort was made to maintain high standards of safety as well as finding good terrain and snow. The guides arrived on time and we felt we got the most out of the day. Highly recommended.

So much powder on offer
Powder at Zao Onsen
Lots of soaks in onsens
Lots of great meals
Powder at one of the Bandai ski resorts
Tohoku skiing is amazing but the only problem is that you get so spoilt skiing readily accessible freshies all day, that it’s then hard to go resort skiing elsewhere.

We went on tour for 10 nights and there were really only 2 days where there wasn’t fresh snow. One of these was at Geto Kogen and there were still lots of fresh tracks so it didn’t matter that it hadn’t snowed the day before. This tour was powder, powder, powder!

The destinations visited were amazing – ski resorts where there was negligible competition for the powder, only a little bit of English spoken, and plenty of Japanese cultural immersion on tap! It was sooooo nice to get away from the high profile Japanese ski resorts and visit the real Japan.

The guides were exceptional at scoping great lines, although outside of the skiing, the organisation of logistics from one of our guides was a little loose at times. This probably didn't matter though, because we achieved our main aims: powder; get off the beaten track; onsens; and great food and cultural experiences!

We stayed in a range of accommodations that ranged from OK to not-so-good, but we chose a cheap-as-chips tour option, and the accommodation was in line with what you’d expect for what we paid.

We can thoroughly recommend getting a customised tour of Tohoku with WRTs. We had an absolutely amazing time!

It's not like we really needed a guide. We figured we might be slow in finding the best drop-ins and then there's the question of getting back to a lift without walking. So we spent the money, and it was well worth it. Totally nailed the correct decision. Our White Room guide Ronan checked the avalanche report before we decided where to ski each day. He set us up with the mandatory back pack with beacon, etc to acces the gates. Awesome time with him. Gave us so many surprise fresh track runs. We would sometimes ask How about here? can we get out? Usually Yes and we would dive into the trees, where without a guide it would have been too risky. Normally we would have found some of the good stuff, but with Ronan we were batting a thousand. Hokkaido is like the Holy Grail of powder skiing. Skied Rusutsu, Kiroro, Moiwa. Our lodging was at the base of Niseko. So Niseko, Annupuri, Hirafu. and Hanazono we explored on our 3 non guided days. 11 days, 105 inches according to the avalanche reports. Ronan took us to some really good low cost dinner places. Had a blast. He of course drank nothing. Great having no worries about driving. It snowed on and off about 5 times a day over there. Our Onsen at the Hilton was great. Japan people are great hosts and hostesses. White Room rocks. Ronan rules.

This awesome tour was the best of all worlds. Staying at Niseko for a lot of the time so going out to the bars, yet getting to ski at the other ski resorts where there were significantly less crowds. I loved Otaru too because it was so different to Niseko and felt much more Japanese.

I was so appreciative to have the guides. I never would have found all that powder without them.

The lodging at Niseko was simple and friendly and just what I expected considering the tour was pretty cheap.

Phenomenal day out with Whiteroom

Dan Pezim
23/02/2016
We had an incredible experience with Whiteroom. We were a bit hesitant to book at first because they don't do mixed groups and it was quite expensive for just 2 people to split a guide, but very glad we spent the money. Our original plan was to head to Asahidake for some touring, but the morning of, our guide Dave convinced us that the high winds could shut down the cable car and we may have better luck on the other side of the valley at Tokachidake (we actually ended up skiing Furanodake). So we hopped in the beautiful new transport van and headed out. This was a very good decision - we got a rare clear day with the sun out and tons of fresh snow, it was absolutely perfect conditions. The area was very busy with ski tourers, but since we were a small group and got an early start we were able to break away from the main pack, and Dave's knowledge of the area kept us ahead of everyone all day. The way the mountains were laid out there, the uptracks were fairly easy going up the ridges, and the runs down are long and steep, so you couldn't ask for better touring. Dave was super chill and a great guide, and helped us achieve a huge day; if we would have gone out on our own, we would have been following big groups around all day and just skiing the most obvious, skied out lines. My only advice would be try to find a few people to go with to split the cost with (was 60k yen for the day). Great experience!

Professionalism - Good organisation of vehicles and venues, briefing on the day ahead, pre-trip advice OK,

Communication – some confusion while arranging booking accommodation – but all done at short notice so understandable.

Instructor – Adam was very good at leading the group and particularly at giving technique advice pertinent to each individual – showed empathy and understanding with each member of the group. Very pleased to be with him again.

Progress - I learnt heaps and reckon I went up a notch or two in ability - both on –piste and in powder.

Lodging – Full Note Pension was appropriate level of comfort and situation near slopes and amenities. Owners were lovely, staff OK.

Value – appropriate.

Fun factor – highly enjoyable trip.

Hopped over to Japan from Canada for my first big International Ski trip. Absouloutly fantastic trip, all around good time. Staff and guides were amazing and well experienced in ensuring all levels of skiers/snowboards get the most out of the trip. They were very motivating and will definitely make you better then you think you are.

Accommodations were excellent. Everything GOOD, ski GOOD, sleep GOOD, food GOOD, people GOOD, Japan GOOD!!!!!!

I absolutely LOVED my Hokkaido trip with Whiteroom Tours and would book with them again for sure. The skiing and guiding were outstanding (and I'm used to California and Alaska skiing so I know). The guides worked hard to get us to the best snow each day. I travelled as a single woman and knew no one upon arrival. Once there, Whiteroom guides took care of everything. Others were also traveling single. Whiteroom knows how to create a great group experience for everyone. I had 8 days filled with skiing, fabulous new friends, food, onsen time and just great adventure and fun fun fun. I will recommend Whiteroom to anyone I know going to ski in Japan. It was worth every penny :)

Booked in the last of the seasons Central Hokkaido tour with White Room Tours and I could not of been happier with the trip. Without the guides knowledge of the areas it would have been a very tame holiday, instead we were knee deep in open and tight tree runs and back bowls for the whole week. This was one holiday I will never forget!! Awesome guides with local knowledge of restaurants, bars and resorts.

We covered 4 snow fields while chasing POW dumps and can't say enough about the guides ability to keep the fresh lines coming for most of the day. Each guide was a bit different in there style and ideas so you got the best of hiking ridges, short sweet n deep pow stash lines and layed back fun on the groomers. I felt safe at all times even when we were doing backcountry runs that ended up at the highway that I would never have dreamt of doing without a guide. Without the guides we would have seen 10% of each of the mountains off piste runs.

Accommodation was as expected, 3.5 star simplicity which was all that was required. Good onsen and restaurant onsite and friendly staff who did regular runs to the ski resort for pickup and drop off.

The only thing I would recommend is buying a beacon if you plan to go again as you will spend the same amount hiring it for 2 trips (1 full avi kit was shared between 3 boarders plus the guides kit).

5 STAR TOUR COMPANY!!

It was a fantastic ski experience in Hokkaido with Josh the snowboard guide. We lived in Niseko; the guide took us to Rusutsu and Kiroro. These places are amazing. The guide also led us to different trail runs with fresh powder snow.

Great two day guided trip out of Furano with Whiteroom Tours. Unfortunately there hadn't been the usual Hokkaido dumps for the previous few days so we weren't expecting epic days but Graeme (our guide) made sure he found out what we were after (fresh...) and managed to seek out some awesome runs at firstly Tomamu then Asahidake. Had a bit of hiking to achieve the freshies at Tomamu (side country through the trees) but well worth the effort. Asahidake was great but had to work again for fresh tracks. Went for a walk up to fumaroles etc as wasn't the best day snow wise.

Overall Graeme showed us a great experience incl tours of Tomamu buildings (!!) and onsen after Asahidake.

Even with what the locals were saying was a late arrival to the season, I have never skied more clean white untouched lines. There was still quite a bit of branches and sasa grass that we had to deal with but otherwise the skiing was great! The sasa grass is more an issue for skiers than boards... it can certainly catch in a binding.

The Guides: Paul(lead), Greg, Dave, Joel, and Adam

These guys were really great. Paul really had a nice comprehensive knowledge of the resorts. Since he was also training some of the guides it was interesting to hear the discussion of parts of the resorts that we did not go. Dave gave a very good review on avi beacons and they all did a great job on sweep, affectionately known as the “Blanche Patrol”. To me it quickly went from a guided trip to feeling like I was riding around the areas with a bunch of my buddies! It was great to have Paul as a resource for the area. We had some minor equipment issues and I was able to rent a pair skis quickly and easily.

Where We Skied: Furano, Kamui, Tomamu, Asahidake

Furano:
Furano was fun, there were so many little areas of untouched skiable terrain. It was pretty much get off the lift and dive into the trees for some clean deep lines.

Kamui:
We skied Kamui only once, it looked like it’s off piste area was getting a bit more traffic that the other resorts. But a fun little area.

Tomamu: I really liked Tomamu except for the rock at the edges of the cat track. I *think* the resort gets a bit more sun. It was the only place that we encountered crusty snow. The trees around the quad and the gondi are so much fun and get so little traffic that you can get clean line after clean line.

Asahidake: This place was amazing. Paul said that during the 9 years of guiding here he said that he had not had these conditions. Clear bluebird day with a meter of fresh. I learn a lot about skiing really deep powder that day and the place is just stunningly beautiful.

Where We Stayed: North Country Inn

This was an exceptionally nice place to stay. Not a Ritz Carlton but not a Motel 6 either. Nice middle class hotel with that was extremely clean. The onsen was pretty nice except the outside one was a bit small. But it was very nice to watch the full moon rise while soaking after a day of skiing. The staff was lovely and very helpful. Most spoke English very well and were happy to help you with your Japanese. The restaurant was inexpensive but very good quality food.

I would so love to do this tour again and am trying to figure out how to plan it out. The one thing that I would change is the timing. I think that I would probably go a little later in the season. Not necessary for the snow but to be in better ski shape before the trip. It was well worth the cost!

Nathan Wilson Review of the Hokkaido Explorer Tour

Tour was epic, guides were epic, snow was epic, terrain was epic, it's the only way to get the full experience of Hokkaido's various fields and surrounding areas. The guides were excellent, good knowledge of terrain & flexible on where to ride but most of all get you the POW in all conditions.
